Some Belated Christmas Pictures

Oh Happy Christmas! Buckeyes shirt, Brutus, Iron Man toy (J's that he borrowed) and Iron Man underwear. Priceless.

Colin was game for the little hill...

But, he covered his eyes going down the "big mountain".

Thanks Uncle Russ for snapping some pictures of our Christmas 2010.

Flashforward to the Teen Years

Most mornings Bill is up early and makes coffee and starts the oatmeal. He sets the timer for the oatmeal to remind him to stir it every five minutes.

This morning, he after he prepped breakfast, Bill went to get Colin up. The little guy was out cold. Bill had to turn on the light and shake his shoulder to get him to move. Colin, without opening his eyes, waved Bill away and said, "Daddy, you go stir the cereal!" Then he rolled over and went back to sleep.

Potty Training

We were on potty patrol all weekend. Day one, Colin wasn't quite clicking with timing his "feeling" with getting to the bathroom. He would tell us as he was peeing, and then we'd go to the bathroom. He was more excited to be trying on the different themed underwear with each change (Buzz Lightyear, Mickey Mouse, Lightening McQueen...). Day two, he was able to hold it two times and make it to the bathroom in time. We brought the little potty back out and added chocolate rewards, that seemed to help. Other times, we had him sit and wait a bit i.e. before lunch, nap and dinner. We woke him early from his nap on day two and had him pee. He was able to stay dry for those 2 hours of sleep.

Day three and at school today. Colin was worried that school didn't have a washing machine. I told him I packed several pants and underwear in case he had an accident. That seemed to calm him down. During drop off, he dropped his pants to show everyone his McQueen undies. The other underwearing kids joined in. Errrr...okay.
