Going to the Park

We visited the elementary school playground by our house last week. It was the first time Colin sat in a swing. He was a little unsure of the activity at first, but then he was making his growling, laughing noise to say that he was totally diggin' it.

Colin really enjoyed the slide and seeing Daddy and Mommy slide down after him. The static shocks from the plastic slide were annoying. Then the rain started to threaten so Colin hopped in the stroller and we headed home.

Mo!

I see why the puppet designers at Sesame Street made Elmo a vibrant red. Everywhere we go this fuzzy fellow is hawking some kid's toy, clothes, movie, book, etc. In a sea of merchandise, Colin spots him, points and says, "Mo!". I end up buying Mo if it's a book, y'know, because I'm promoting reading, not because I'm being a push over. Not that at all...

Swim Class

As a Christmas gift I signed Bill and Colin up for swim lessons. The first couple of times they got in the water, Colin just stared at all the activity going on around him. He wasn't very animated in the pool. These last few classes, however, Colin enjoyed splashing, chasing after the water balloon, and was the first kid in his class (of 3 guppies) to try the water slide! (Thanks to dad getting bored and sticking him on the slide to see what he'd do) Again, throwing caution to the wind, Colin would climb part way up the slide and inch himself down until he slid into Bill's arms. The other kids soon joined in the fun.

Welcome Baby Alexis

Kelly and AJ welcomed the arrival of their new baby girl. Alexis Lillian was born at 3:38pm today weighing in at a healthy 9lbs, 10oz, and 22 inches! We are in awe of Kelly.
We are so excited for the new family and can't wait to see them in a couple of weeks.

That's Sooo Funny

Colin awoke in a good mood this morning after a decent night's sleep. At breakfast, he was laughing up a storm when he'd get us to say "Soooo Big" anytime he'd spread his arms out wide. We are his puppets, no doubt, here to entertain.

Panda Bear, Panda Bear What Do You Hear?

The sound of Crazy Colin comin' atcha! I'm not entirely sure that we should promote UFC rounds with endangered stuffed animals.

Just the right size, Panda and Colin like to face off in the middle of the room. Panda usually hangs out in the tot chair. Colin will walk up and climb all over the chair and the bear. Then he tosses the bear on the floor and pins him to the mat.

Once again, when I get the video camera out, he's just not that into it.
