Christmas 2025

 AJ and Kelly hosted with several fun games planned and great food! Smoked tenderloin and crab legs. 

The cousins had fun learning Crazy Pong and running around the new table tennis table. 

The next day Bill smoked a fantastic turkey!

Christmas Cookie Making

 Cousin fun and full of sugar cookie making day. A lot of great artistry and designs from this group. 

Colin's girlfriend, Emily, even made a Colin Cookie.

Middle School Fall Play

 Sydney was very excited to have a role in the fall play The Cases of Mistaken Identity. She did a terrific job with her lines, projecting and acting. She played Terrance Stamp, train porter, and it a large enough role that she had a mic. The crew and her 6th grade teacher, Mr. Johnson designed another amazing set with moving train cars. 

Fall Band Concerts

 

Fall Band Concerts time of year. The high school band sounds great and Colin enjoyed some of the song selections they had to learn. 

Disneyland

 We booked a trip to California for MEA weekend and went to Disneyland and Disney California. It was really fun to see the kids' reactions to all things Disney. Some bickering while waiting in line. The Single Rider line saved us a lot of time.

Favorite quote of the weekend from Sydney, "Who's the guy holding Mickey's hand in that statue?"

Um..."That's Walt Disney."

Syd, "What? His last name is Disney? And, he named the park after himself? So I could have a Sydney Weiher Land?" 

Mind blown. 

And, we were able to visit cousin Zack while on his side of the country.

 

Trick Or Treating

 Sydney and the neighbors themed it up for candy grabbing. She made her Iron Man outfit and joined fellow Marvel superheroes Deadpool and Gold Spiderman. 

Colin went to a Halloween party the weekend before as Beast Boy and ended up working on Halloween. 

Spooky Season

 The kids carved pumpkins and cranked the Halloween tunes. It was a little early for carving and the jack o’lanterns rotted out before 10/31.

First Day of School 2024

 Here we go junior year and seventh grade! 

Syd is very excited to get the vibe of all of her classes. She already signed up for the musical tryouts and is thinking about travel band. 

Colin will continue to work part time at Scheels. 

Valley Fair

 We took advantage of the last days of summer to hop over to Valley Fair on a great weather day. 

And, it was just a so-so visit. Since we'd been mentally and physically challenged by the mega rides at Cedar Point, Valley Fair didn't really offer the same level of excitement. We hit the coasters and then we were kind of ready to head home for dinner.

Cedar Point

 We spent another three days at Cedar Point again after Lake Week. This time Syd and I rode all the coasters at least once with Bill and Colin (skipping the extra jerky ones, of course). 

Magnum XL’s first hill is a doozy and once was enough for Syd and me.

Steel Vengeance is super scary, but really cool at night.

Top Thrill 2 wasn’t open. It’ll be months before those design issues are resolved.

Taking a break at a watering hole. The drink plan is a life saver with the humidity.

By the third day, we were okay with riding the smaller rides like the Derby Races and Bumper Cars.
