Lake Week 2019

Another wonderful week at the Lake with Nana Mary, Papa Beard, and all of Bill's sibs and their kids! The weather was warm, but with the breeze and water it was a great time in the water.

These two pretending to be asleep on the way to the lake house.

Still picking the Superman ice cream.

The new tubes were a little scarier this year.

This trio loved ripping through the waves on ZuZu.

Justis and Colin designed some 2019 lake week shirts with the help of Aunt Jennifer.

The Brule

Made the trek to the Brule River and stay with the Fruens at Gitchigumee Lodge. Colin and Sydney became fast friends with Trakcur the Black Mouth Cur. And with Max and Jack who also collect and trade Pokemon cards.

Enjoying some of Ross' guitar playing and getting sleepy with Trakcur.

Thanks for hosting us, Fruens!

Summer Lax

Colin made the Eden Prairie U12 A team this summer. He worked hard and he's excited to be on the team. They played in sweltering summer heat and humidity this weekend and won their division's tournament in Prior Lake. CP is in the white helmet.

During the same crazy summer weather weekend, Sydney had her Girls Lax end of clinic party when it started to downpour. The girls had at least 30 min before the rain came to toss water balloons, run part of an obstacle course, and enjoy root beer floats in the shed. Sydney is wearing the rain jacket.

Adventures in Cardboard Camp

Starting the summer off with a 11 out of 5 stars rated camp by Colin. Five days outside , running amok at a state park, building cardboard weapons and shields, and battling other clans was massive fun.

A few of Colin's creations. The shield was covered in duct tape to stop the rain and had a hidden sheath for a dagger.

The clans battling the camp counselors (who were WAY into the role play scenarios)

Some of the camp created relics that the kids had to find to add to their team's strength.
