Lake Week 2.0

Shannon's family spent a week with us at the lake house. Great weather, except for a little rain. Cousins Mitch and Will took to wake boarding. Aunt Kathy showed that she still has what it takes to waterski! And most exciting was Kelly and AJ's announcement that they are expecting in March. Yeah, a baby bean in 2009. Poor Kelly was feeling as cruddy as I did in the first trimester. And Colin was teething for two days putting on a good show for what to expect when expecting! Yikes! Tooth #2 has since popped through and he was much more pleasant for the remainder of the week.

That's FIERCE!

Cousin Zoe had Colin in some fierce fashion during Lake Week. Here he is sporting two types of plaid, stripes, and a bib (a summer, or drooler, must have!). Eat your hearts out, NYC and Paris.

Lake Week 1.0

Colin enjoyed his very first Lake Week at the lake house. Bill and I even went home for two days for work while Colin stayed at the lake with everybody. He enjoyed swimming and learned about sun safety -hat, cool shades and sunscreen.

Since it was vacation, we threw caution to the wind and the family created a new routine for Colin. He likes a jog before his nap. Now answers to Connor and Caleb. Enjoys a shot of Jack in his evening bottle. Cries when he's not wearing plaid and stripes (see next post). Likes squash with a dash of hot sauce. Farts when angry (if only he'd poop). Has a disdainful attitude toward anyone playing Guitar Hero on EASY. Sleeps best when left alone out in the bonus room. Sinks when dropped in the lake (he's NOT a witch!), and lastly, the family apologized for the tattoo, it seemed like a good idea at the time. -list courtesy of Aunt Jennifer.

"They're Coming To Take Me Away -Oh No!"

Exersaucer -overdoser

We picked up an exersaucer for Colin after we saw that he liked playing in the one Cousin Trevor brought to Gma Mary's family reunion. It's been a great addition to the things that keep him busy while we eat dinner, read the mail, or what have ya.
We wonder if these things add to A.D.D. It's hilarious to watch Colin focus on one item in the exersaucer only to turn his head to the right and be surprised that there's another item of interest. He swivels a bit to reach the new toy. Once again, he turns his head to the right and ta-da another new toy! Round and round he goes... pretty funny. Then he's bored and wants out.

Mm Mm Good

Colin is trying out a new menu every night. Last week it was veggies and rice cereal. This week, fruits and oatmeal. He seems to tolerate everything we've put in front of him. Oh my, he likes food! We think he might be a little constipated this evening so we tried some applesauce to see if we can get things moving along. Daycare has the greenlight to give him babyfood that we leave for him as well. He's such a big boy.
And, this weekend he cut his first tooth! The one on the bottom started showing up on Saturday morning when we were out with Matt, Megan and Lil' Henry. Then Colin was crab for the rest of the day. By Sunday evening things seemed to have settled down and he keeps running his bottom lip over the tooth. It's a funny expression. Here are some photos of Colin enjoying his dinner.

Tiss-ue! LOL!

Here is some video from last week when Shannon was playing with Colin one evening and he just starts laughing, after the 'shock & awe' starts to subside, we look at each other and both literally say, "Camera!"

So here are some of Colin's very first real laughs... from the camera I was thinking of not the one Shannon was (that one doesn't have sound...)

He is such a happy little boy. Enjoy!
