My Young Jedi

Upon receiving a Darth Vader mask and lightsaber for his birthday, Colin asked if he could go to Jedi school. He's also aware of the Weird Al song summarizing the recent Star Wars films about Anikan Skywalker and how he kisses his mom goodbye to go to Jedi school before becoming Darth Vader.

"Mom, can you find me a Jedi school to go to?"
Um...yeah, sure.

A few days later.
"Mom, did you find me a Jedi school? And can you come with me?"
Jedi school?
"Yes, I want to be a Jedi."
I start into a long explanation that Star Wars is a movie and Jedi school is pretend. However, the actors who play Jedis are trained in tumbling and karate. Would those be of interest?
"Yes! I want to learn tumbling and karate!"
Oooo-kay...

Happy 4th Birthday

On the menu at the birthday boy's request:
Transformers themed party with spaghetti and meatballs, salad with cheese and ham, chocolate cake with chocolate icing and sprinkles, and chocolate covered strawberries. We had a busy weekend of fun with family and friends. And, again, Colin made out like a bandit with cool presents.

Christmas 2011

The beautiful Christmas tree of 2011!

The boys in front of Uncle Russ' lovely tree.

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas at Nana Mary and Papa Beard's. Colin was able to convince aunts, cousins, and uncle into several games of Twister!

Merry Christmas

Although he was shy this year, Colin did oblige Santa with a huge hug!

"Yeah, I Can Fly"

Recently Colin has been into making masks and taping them to his face. At school he made a 'spiderman' mask and taped what looked like cuffs to his wrists to shoot webs.

Here he is constructing his Iron Man suit.

Note the light up Spiderman boots from his daddy. The boys were lost in Target and came home with this purchase.

Nap Time?

Not sure what was happening during nap time.

Carving Two-Face

Colin chose to create a happy face and angry face on his pumpkin (the one from Gretchen's farm!).
