Artsy Fartsy

These two enjoy doing "crafts" and "projects". Sometimes they clean up after themselves. And, they always pose for the camera!

Happy 4th Birthday!

It seemed to take forever for Sydney's fourth birthday to arrive! She would count down from Colin's birthday, then mommy's and daddy's, and finally May 6th. It was quite the Paw Patrol gift theme.

She mouthed the words as we all sang Happy Birthday to her.
Sydney knew to open the cards first. Colin was very helpful reading them to her.

Santa

We visited the real Santa for the 3rd year in a row. It's great that it's a smaller group of kids from the neighborhood. They learn about the history of Santa Claus, sing Christmas songs and enjoy snacks.

Sydney is in love with Santa.

To keep the kids busy, they do an okay job of having crafts and coloring handy.

And, here's our Weiher family picture, candy cane theme.

Project

Sydney has been asking to do a birdhouse project with Bill for months. She was so excited to work on something will daddy. Colin also asked to make one.

Now to find a spot to hang the finished bird houses.

Holes

Colin's friend Nolan saw the movie Holes and they got the idea to dig a bunch of holes in the back yard. Fortunately, we have a mulched area that they could attack. Colin stayed focused for over an hour and dug himself a 2 foot hole. He was annoyed that I made him fill it in the next day.

Big Kid Bike

Bill dusted off the scooter bike we had from when Colin was little. We thought Syd would be ready for it this spring. Turns out she's too tall for it to work well. Who knew? So, Bill and Syd cleaned up the big kid bike he picked up 2nd hand, and a pink unicorn helmet to boot. She's quite proud and a little freaked out. She'll take a spin for a little bit and then head back to her trike.

Faces

These two are becoming professional face paint models. We were at the Art Center open house over the weekend to check out some activities.

The kids played with clay and made small copper medallion necklaces.
