Sydney pics

Random photo opp at the mall. She insisted on a picture.

She loves dress up! Here she is as Owlet from PJ Masks.

Bike

With her training wheels on, Sydney is excited to be riding her big bike. She and neighbor Natalie were out cruising the cul de sac.

Mother's Day

Enjoyed wonderful weather for a picnic in the park!

Colin was braiding and weaving dandelion stems.

Happy 5th Birthday!

Sydney has been anxiously waiting for her 5th birthday parties with family and friends. She's had daily meltdowns about it. We went to Adventure Peak with her classmates, and her former teacher Miss Casi was able to come by to celebrate.

Hopefully, now that the festivities are over, we'll be able to calm down and return to some semblance of 5 year old "normal," whatever that means.

Family Fun Night

Colin's school had its winter family fun night. They host the kids with a free DJ, open gym and bingo. Colin ended up winning big at hula hoop, a musical chairs type game with a hula hoop, AND the overall dance competition. Lots of beads.

Syd was bored at one point and wanted to play bingo. She won on the first game and got to pick out a prize. She picked growing dinosaurs your put in water so both she and Colin could play with them.

All the winning, I should have played the lottery...

Happy 9th Birthday!

We hosted 8 of Colin's friends for lunch and the Lego Batman Movie. He was thrilled everyone could come: Addi, Nolan, Parker, Jackson, Hudyfi, Birkir, Tristan & Trey.

Then he had cupcakes and ice cream at the family party later that evening. Happy 9th!

School Performances

Sydney was beyond excited that her PreK class was doing a play and she had a speaking part! We would pop quiz her on her line to practice, and like a true diva she'd say "Oh I can't just say it now!"
At the performance, her class play was a version of the book The Mitten. Sydney was the hedgehog and her line was "This looks like a nice place to stay warm." Come to find out that was EVERYONE's line in the play as they all gathered in the mitten. They were all so proud of their hard work.

Colin again volunteered for a speaking role at his school performance, songs about 'Merica!
We won the front row seats, second year in a row! Woo hoo! Since both kids' shows were on the same night and had to hustle over to the other school. He did a great job!
