Leaves

The kids love planning the annual leaves photo. Colin is sort of faking that he hates raking leaves. 

Annual Family Photos

Aunt Anita helped us with the annual (?) family photos. She found some pretty spots in downtown Shakopee. 

Happy Halloween

We were a little late pumpkin hunting and did a last minute run to several stores 2 days before Halloween. Colin made a Black Panther silhouette and Syd designed a panda face.

Sydney knew for months she wanted to be Chewbacca. We found some fur vests at Once Upon a Child that did the trick. Colin put together a dragon slayer from his cardboard camp weapons. It was cold, but the kids stayed warm running from house to house.

First Day of School 2019

This is the last year they'll be in the same school - 2nd and 6th grades. They were excited to go and see all their friends. And both came home with a thumbs up on the first day.

Sydney has Miss Clingan and Colin has Mrs. Smith.

Annual Trip to Valley Fair

It was a bit breezy the last week of summer vacation, but it didn't stop the kids and Bill from jumping into Soak City. We coaxed Syd on her first roller coaster. She braved it, but the High Roller is a very bumpy one, so she wasn't getting on another one that day. We did discover that she loves the spinning rides like Scrambler and Tilt a Whirl. A girl after my own heart. However, even with Dramamine, I can stomach those types of rides any more. Fortunately, she was fine going by herself. Colin was happy to hit the roller coasters and snack on Dippin Dots.

Sand Castles

The community pool was bit chilly after the rain, so CP and Syd made a sand castle city, some big feet and a water way "W" to keep themselves entertained.

Summer Bike Ride

Took off on our first full bike ride since Sydney can keep up on her two wheeler.  Enjoyed trying out different trails around the neighborhood.
