Happy 4th!

Tippie's had great weather to host the family at their house for food, pool time and fireworks.

The cousins only tried to drown each other once.
Papa Rick went a little nuts over the firework selections.
They were almost as tall as AJ.

Family BBQ

So happy that we're getting vaxxed and can gather again over food and fun.

Aunt Anita hosted everyone to celebrate the new federal holiday Juneteenth.

Summer Camps are back

We were able to snag a couple of outdoor camps before they filled up.

Syd enjoyed a week of tennis in 90 degree heat.

Both kids had fun with Staring Lake Outdoor camp. Each day had a different main activity - archery, biking, fort building an canoeing (when Syd, another kid and a counselor all got swimmer's itch from jumping in the lake).

This week is the highly anticipated Card Board Camp! It's Colin's 2nd year and Sydney's first. It was postponed from last year, so they've been waiting a long time. But first, we ran to get both kids covid tests since Syd felt and looked horrible yesterday. She had a fever and chills, stuffed nose and sore throat. There was a sick kid at the end of Staring Lake camp, so just to be on the safe side we wanted to confirm they are negative. A bit of anxiety this morning until we received the negative tests.

Building his shield:

Finally enough armor to protect the body and legs.

Last Day of School

Lots of emotions this last week of school. For Colin -relief. Sydney will miss her teacher and some of their class' fun activities. But, by this first week of summer, they are happy to be in a no-school routine.

Another Pandemic Birthday Party

Sydney was excited to be turning 9 years old. Instead of the birthday dinner, she requested chocolate chip pancakes from Original Pancake House.

As she had hoped, Sydney received a stuffed octopus (Jerry), a fancy watch with lots of button, and cash-money!

She was still able to blow out all her candles at once.

Sydney wanted the ice cream cake to read "Happy Tiger Birthday."
I guess the icing person didn't quite understand the unique request.

Family birthday fun at the park.

Bathtime

I believe the dog has some seasonal allergies with itchy ears, eyes and skin. Sydney and I made a homemade recipe with oatmeal, baking soda and lavender oil. Then, we braved the "storm" and put Milo in the tub. He did okay. He didn't shake until he was out of the tub. The oatmeal bath seemed to help - at least for a while, and no drying of his skin. He smells better, too!

The shower wand is a must have!

He's so fluffy!

Ortho Consult

At her last dental appointment, Syd's dentist said it was time to have her cross bite looked at by an orthodontist. We are entering that phase of dental insurance and scheduling many ortho appointments...in phases! Syd's missing her 12 year molars for some odd reason, but does have wisdom teeth, per her x-rays. She's excited for her ortho consult...for now.
