The campus homecoming event always includes a stop at the face painters and balloon guys. Sydney waited a whole year to request another Tiger balloon. Colin has a super alien laser vaser blaster!

That time of year again for family photos. Picked a chilly, but pretty morning at the park by our house. Aunt Anita brought her talent and her camera.

October 2016 we FINALLY hosted Colin's Zombie Apocalypse party!

For 10 boys!
And the weather was warm!
Whew!

Station 1 was crossing a Slack Line

 Station 4 was the epic water balloon fight!

This was an idea Colin had a mere 3 years ago. After years of discussion, I was able to bring the concept down from a Hollywood staged production to a scavenger hunt and obstacle course.

Water balloons, nerf weapons, and smashing zombie pinatas full of candy made for a great afternoon. Sydney enjoyed chasing the boys, scaring them with her zombie (pronounced zom-dee) face.

Colin is already dreaming of next year's concept. Um....

First Day of School!

Sydney was VERY excited to be moving up to the Pre-K room where they 'learn to read'. She was surprised to find out that some of her friends from preschool moved up with her.

Colin was not as thrilled to see the end of summer. Third grade, he has Mrs. Ganske. So far, he thinks she's very nice.

Brule

We always appreciate the invitation to go to the Brule for a weekend! Colin's favorite parts of the trip were the food and nice people (Nana and Papa's friends). Sydney's favorite parts were playing with the stuffed animal moose, Moosey, and Mr. Ross (the host).

TX Tippies visit

The cousins had a great time over the weekend with each other. Several hours at the lake and the pool were enjoyed.

Lake Week 2016

The weather was great, the family was fun and the water was warm! We enjoyed another wonderful year at Wamplers with everyone. The trip started with the Macke family reunion at Uncle Vince's with a (very) heated pool that the kids stayed in most of the day. The evening was watching professional fireworks hosted by Uncle Charlie. It was loud and amazing to be 100 feet from the pyrotechnics.

Lake Week was fun to spend time with Gretchen and Stephen, aka the Farmers as Sydney calls them. Then Russ and Mandi joined the fun. Cousins Justis and Zoe put up with Colin and Syd. Jen suggested a great day at the Ypsilanti water park to change things up. Colin did some tubing. Both kids "drove" ZuZu the jet ski. We survived the days Sydney refused to nap and treated us to half hour screaming fits. Colin barely survived constant iPad time.

The water was low this year so Colin could easily walk out to the swim platform.

Sydney enjoyed helping the Farmers make banana bread. I have a similar photo below of Colin making banana bread with Nana Mary at the lake house around the same age.
