Between plans, meetings and schedules is when life happens. This is an attempt to share some of our life with you.

We celebrated Syd's big 1-3 with bowling with friends and dinner at Brick and Bourbon. Nana and Papa took her out for sushi, one of her favs.
Syd played Doug in Disney's Descendants. She always has a great time with the group of kids in cast and crew. She had two snazzy costumes and learned to tie a tie. She's sad for it to end this year as her 8th grade friends will be in high school when she auditions next fall.
Colin is in the earlier stages of considering post high school plans. To get an idea of what a college visit is like, we signed up for a U of MN campus tour. It was a really nice day out which made for a nice trip to the office. Not sure what he thought other than he didn't know what to expect so it was helpful to go through the process.
Tippies hosted all of us in Orlando for spring break. We stayed on a beautiful property and enjoyed some sun and hot days at the pool, University Studios, and Disney Parks.
Favorite rides included the new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster, the Avatar ride, and Hagrid's Motorbike coaster. The most hair raising was probably the velocicoaster! And, yes, the butterbeer at the Harry Potter world was very tasty.
Syd and her middle school travel band spent the weekend at the University of Wisconsin. They took three tour buses filled with kids, chaperones and instruments. They had a teaching session with a band professor along with a tour of campus and a show. The next day they performed 6 songs at the state capitol. The trip finished with a day at the Dells and Kalahari water park. Syd said she had a great time and wants to do next year’s trip to Chicago.
Colin, Emily, and another couple, Victor and Danielle, went to dinner at Olive Garden and to an escape room for the high school girls ask the guys dance. Emily made a very cute sign.
