Proud Parents

Colin was selected as part of a group of 5th graders to help with Kindergarten orientation night at the school. The 5th graders were on hand to give tours, provide directions and answer questions. Colin ran the 'playground package' as he nicknamed it and had the little kiddos running through an obstacle course. The volunteer 5th graders received many compliments from the new families.

Sydney with two other first graders and their two teachers were invited to present to the School Board about the creation of Wilderness Wednesdays. This weekly trek outside started after spring break with Miss Casey's and Mrs. V's 1st graders using the outdoor classroom (rebuilt by CP, Bill and others) for science and nature lessons. Sydney wrote and read aloud what she liked best about Wilderness Wednesdays - Mindful Minutes when you listen, see, and smell nature. But we don't taste!
