Syd's theater career at CMS went out with a bang. The school put on the Disney production Newsies. She played the charismatic character Race. It was a great fit and a fun show.
Grandma Mary flew in to surprise Syd and see two of the four shows. Syd was nervous for that last show knowing she and fellow 8th grade castmates would be sad and cry on stage thanking the adult directors and everyone for their hard work. Syd made newspapers for each of the directors with articles about each of their roles and quotes from students saying how much they enjoy working with them.
